Description:
The controller can switch all connected ballasts on and off with its internal clock, adjust them to your required output level (in percentage or exact power output) and even simulate sunrise and sunset to gradually adjust the climate in your greenhouse when your lights are switched on or off. The Platinum smart control has the option to change the spectrum of the platinum led panels having 3 options 1 for germination 2 for growth and 3 for flowering. This electronic controller replaces lighting timers and contactors while avoiding peak starting current when switching on the lights.
Two very important features are the autodim function and emergency stop. When the temperature in the grow room rises beyond the level selected in the climate control of your crop, the crop can be damaged without the possibility of recovery. The temperature sensor detects this and will automatically dim the lights so as not to exceed the selected temperature. If for any reason your climate control fails completely and the temperature rises to unacceptable levels the system will perform an emergency shutdown of all connected equipment.
With the platinum master controller you can control 2 rooms, in portal C you can connect 80 lights and in portal F another 80 lights, controlling a total of 160 lights per smart controller.

FAQ
LED, also known as the small lights (diode) that often work together in a group. LED lamps are light-emitting diodes that do not need a filament or use gases. They convert electrical energy directly into light by the movement of electrons within the diode’s material. LED lamps have efficient and low energy use and the lifetime of LED lamps surpasses other conventional light sources.
Due to its savings in energy, maintenance and replacement costs, LED lamps are interesting not only for private use only, but also in the industrial field. LED lamps last longer than traditional lighting and are less vulnerable than other types of light sources.
Full spectrum LED lamps mimic natural sunlight, which plants need for feeding and flowering. Full spectrum LED lamps are therefore better at stimulating photosynthesis and create bigger and stronger harvests in a shorter time frame than normal lamps. LED lights can also be designed to mimic specific parts of natural light for part of a plant’s growth process. For example, blue light that aids germination and red light that provides the right stimulation to flower at the right time. These benefits allow you to influence (faster) plant growth and vigour.
Different techniques are used in different types of light sources. For example, filament or gas formation is used. Because the technology in LED lamps produces the light directly from solid materials in which the electrons are located, it is also called Solid State Lighting.
Although the purchase of conventional light sources is cheaper than that of LED, this is not reflected in the energy consumption, labour and maintenance costs and lifespan of conventional light sources. As a result, not only will your energy bill be lower, but you will also have to spend less time repairing or replacing the lamps. You may also save personnel costs in this. The installation of LED lamps today is in many cases just as labour-intensive as with conventional light sources, and LED lamps last longer, giving you a payback period of just 3 to 4 years on average.
Looking at incandescent bulbs, about 80-90% of the energy is converted into heat instead of light. LED bulbs save 80-90% of this electricity and therefore need less energy to give the same amount of light. Compared to fluorescent bulbs, this is 50%.
LED lamps do not need time to reach their maximum output. LED lamps work according to a one step process in which they convert their electrical energy directly into photons. Other light sources work on the basis of discharge technology, for example, which can take several minutes to reach full output.
LED diodes of the right quality can have an average lifespan of 50,000 hours or more and last about 25 times longer than an incandescent bulb with the same amount of light. However, lifetime depends entirely on the design, type of LED chip e ambient temperature. Unlike other light sources, they do not suddenly break down, but weaken. This may mean that when you reach 50,000 user hours, the diode will provide at least 70% of its original light output.
To get a better idea of what 50,000 user hours means, let’s do a little math:
– When using 24 hours a day – 50,000 = 5.7 years
– When using 18 hours a day – 50,000 = 7.6 years
– When using 12 hours a day – 50,000 = 11.4 years
– If an LED lamp contains a self-contained chip, appropriate heat sinks must be added to prevent premature failure of the LED lamp.
– When an LED lamp is connected at higher wattage than it is designed for, the LED gets hot. For example: the driver produces 700mA, but the LED is designed for 350mA.
– Environmental factors that affect the lifetime of an LED lamp are higher temperatures.
Most insects are lured by ultraviolet radiation found in daylight or other types of light sources. They need this for their search for food, navigation and finding mates. A good example is the Indian moth. It is lured mainly by UV-365nm and green light-500nm. As LED lights have no UV content, they therefore automatically attract far fewer insects compared to other types of light sources.
Not every controller is suitable for every LED lamp. This depends on several factors. The Platinum LED lamps can be connected to the Platinum Smart Controller. This is the only controller suitable and appropriate for the Platinum LED lamps.
The plug-in-play system makes it super easy to install the Platinum LED lamps. You don’t need any tools and you’re done as quickly as it sounds. This is also, as mentioned earlier, an added advantage of choosing to use LED lamps.
